Chemed currently operates as two wholly-owned subsidiaries: VITAS Healthcare and Roto-Rooter. VITAS Healthcare segment provides hospice and palliative care services for patients with terminal illnesses. Roto-Rooter segment provides plumbing and drain-cleaning services to both residential and commercial customers.
