It provides wealth management as well as trust services through First Republic Investment Management, Inc. and First Republic Trust Company, respectively. First Republic operates two major business segments, commercial banking and wealth management. The Commercial Banking segment accepts funds from customers, originates and services loans and invests in investment securities. The Wealth Management segment consists of First Republic Investment Management, the money market mutual fund activities through third-party providers and the brokerage activities along with foreign exchange activities.
