Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. is America?s largest military shipbuilding company and a provider of professional services to partners in government and industry. Its Ingalls Shipbuilding segment (Ingalls) and Newport News Shipbuilding segment (Newport News) have built more ships in more ship classes than any other U.S. naval shipbuilder. Its Technical Solutions segment provides a range of services to government and commercial customers. It conducts most of its business with the U.S. Government, primarily the Department of Defense (DoD). As prime contractor, it participates in many high-priority U.S. defense programs. Ingalls includes its non-nuclear ship design, construction, repair, and maintenance businesses. Newport News includes all of the company's nuclear ship design, construction, overhaul, refueling, and repair and maintenance businesses. It also provides a wide range of professional services, including defense and federal solutions, nuclear and environmental services, and unmanned systems.
