SouthGobi Resources Ltd. is a production and development company focused on exploration and development of its Permian-age metallurgical and thermal coal deposits in Mongolia's South Gobi Region. SouthGobi owns three coal projects in Mongolia: a producing mine, the Ovoot Tolgoi Mine; and two development projects, the Soumber Deposit and the Ovoot Tolgoi Underground Deposit. It also holds mineral exploration licences in Mongolia. The Company's flagship coal mine, Ovoot Tolgoi, is producing and selling coal to customers in China. The Ovoot Tolgoi coal deposit is located in the southwest corner of the Omnogovi Aimag of Mongolia. SouthGobi plans to supply a wide range of coal products and electricity to markets in Asia.
